Sankashti Chaturthi — the chaturthi (4th tithi) of krishna paksha (4 days after Purnima). Monthly Ganesh vrat. 12-13 per year.
"Sankashti" = remover of obstacles. Sri Ganesha worshipped as the supreme vighna-vinashak.
When it falls on Tuesday: "Angaraki Sankashti" — supremely auspicious. Yields the fruit of all year's Sankashtis combined. Especially popular in Maharashtra.
